Alfred Fitoussi

After studying medicine in Paris, Dr Fitoussi quickly became internationally known for specialising in all types of surgery of the breast (tumoural, malformative, reconstructive and aesthetic). Dr Fitoussi is general surgeon, considered in oncology, a graduate of microsurgery and plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Having spent ten years at the Hospital of Pitié-Salpêtrière, he integrated the team of the Institute Curie in 1994. He developed the custom-made coverage of breast cancer there, participated in the initiating oncoplasty and in the development of mammary reconstruction by prosthesis followed by musculo-cutaneous scrap. The aesthetic part of breast cancer care, reconstruction and deformities becomes essential and is an integral part of the treatment of these mammary pathologies.
Dr Fitoussi has published several works on surgery of the breast: books of popularisation, books of surgical techniques. He participates in the formation of doctors and surgeons who specialise in surgery of the breast, is responsible for the D.I.U (inter-university diploma) of surgical techniques senologiques, carcinologiques and repair.
Innovation remains an essential part of Dr Fitoussi’s work by developing more effective, less invasive and more stable new techniques (oncoplasty, ADM, feeling) and also with breast surgery after bariatric treatment.
