Koenraad Van Landuyt

Dr. Koenraad Van Landuyt is currently employed as plastic and reconstructive surgeon at th University Ghent and AZ St Lucas Ghent/Belgium.
He was fully trained as a surgeon and later on plastic surgeon at the Ghent University with clinical fellowships at Dijkzigt Rotterdam and the Med. Höchschule Hannover; and obtained his plastic surgery degree in 1995.
Currently clinical chief at the plastic surgery unit of Ghent University hospital, one of the leading microsurgical units in Europe, his main intrests lay in the field of orthopedic reconstructions, breast reconstruction and lymphatic surgery.
In 2007 he obtained his PhD on a thesis concerning the use of perforator flaps in lower limb reconstruction.
He’s also involved in the See&Smile humanitarian missions treating children with craniofacial deformities and burn contractures.
Author and coauthor of numerous scientific papers in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, he is also a welcomed speaker at different conferences and educational coordinator in the microsurgical ManaMa by the university of Cataluña.
